Professional Care
Professional health services include the following:
- Registered Nursing and personal care on a 24-hour basis, 7 days a week
- Medical Advisor and Attending Physician(s) provide medical care during weekly visits, meet with the resident and family at Admission and Care Conferences, and provide experienced input into medical practices and procedures
- Registered Dietitian ensures nutritional needs are met
- Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy, including ADP assessments
- Restorative Care program promotes the maintenance of mobility and the ability to carry out activities of daily living
- Therapeutic Recreation programs
- Social Worker, providing family and personal counseling services to meet individual needs, including admission adjustment , as well as palliative care and grief counseling
- Oxygen Therapy services
- Pastoral and Spiritual Care services
- A host of specialty therapies recognized for their value to emotional health and participation in everyday life, such as music and art therapy
- Foot Care services by a trained Nurse
- Registered Massage Therapist promotes relaxation and pain management
- Access and referrals to community resources and expertise, such as Nurse Practitioners, Psychogeriatric and Mental Health Consultants, and Family Support Service resource groups
- Personalized care programs can be augmented with other professional community assistance on an individual basis, as arranged with the Home (for example, additional private duty care).
