Enjoy peace of mind with Sifton and the Tarion Warranty Corporation
Sifton Properties has been a registered Tarion Warranty Corporation home builder in Ontario since 1976. As the regulator of Ontario’s new home building industry, Tarion Warranty Corporation is responsible for administering the Ontario New Home Warranties Plan Act.
With the purchase of a Sifton home you will be given a Tarion Warranty Policy which carefully outlines your warranty coverage and provides important warranty service request forms that you will be required to submit 30 days after closing, as well as at one year and two years.
New homeowners benefit from One Year Warranty Protection, Two Year Warranty Protection against defects in work and materials, and Seven Year Warranty Protection against major structural defects. For the first two years, warranty coverage is the responsibility of Sifton Properties Limited. For the following five years (years three through seven), the warranty is provided directly from Tarion Warranty Corporation.
If you choose to sell your new home, the Tarion Warranty is transferable for the full seven years. Sifton Properties will remain responsible for the first two years of protection.
